Progress Careers, leading career provision provider is proud to have recently sponsored the 2024 Maltby Learning Trust Conference, MLT24.
Hosted this year at the Doncaster Dome, MLT24 brought together educators, community leaders, and stakeholders to explore their theme of ‘Building Partnerships, Transforming Communities.’
One of the key messages of the day was around building positive partnerships, explored by four keynote speakers: Oliver Coppard, Mayor of South Yorkshire, Cllr Chris Read, Leader of Rotherham Borough Council, Damian Allen, CEO of Doncaster Council and Richard Caborn, ex-sports minister and local. There was a strong focus around tackling social challenge and identifying how, through collaboration and partnership, the trust can make a generational difference. This mirrors Progress Careers own beliefs around social value, working in partnership and delivering high-quality provision for young people.
It was the second year Progress Careers have supported this event. Their sponsorship is a testament to the solid partnership the two organisations have formed over the past few years, with Progress Careers having worked with the Trust for five years.
Paula Thompson, Managing Director of Progress Careers said:
“We are long standing partners of Maltby Learning Trust and are delighted to have been able to support their annual conference for the second time. It’s great to see an organisation committed to their students’ development by investing in independent career guidance. Maltby is one of seven locations within the trust, and we look forward to continuing working with them to build on our successful partnership in the coming years as we continue to support young people.”
With nearly 100 schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) currently prioritising their career provision with the support of Progress Careers, it’s evident that a strong partnership with a dedicated careers provider can significantly enhance a school’s career offering. Via their comprehensive offer, Progress Careers delivers a range of career services to schools ranging from one-to-one support, group sessions, career events and more.
One key element of a robust career provision is continuity, as this ensures quality of career provision throughout. As more and more schools follow in the footsteps of Maltby Learning Trust and invest in high-quality careers guidance, partnerships with dedicated providers like Progress Careers can be a game-changer for empowering young people to make informed decisions about their future and achieve their full potential.
