And just like that, the first half term of the new academic year has flown by, and we’re kicking off the second half term with plenty to celebrate!

We’re delighted to announce that Progress Careers has been shortlisted for Career Provider of the Year at the Career Development Institute (CDI) Awards 2026, recognising the work we do to help young people explore their options, make informed decisions and take their next steps towards the future.

The shortlist is a fantastic milestone for Progress Careers and a reflection of the dedication, expertise and passion our team brings to careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) every day.

At Progress Careers, we work in partnership with schools and multi-academy trusts to ensure young people have access to impartial, high-quality careers guidance that supports their individual ambitions. Whether they’re exploring further education, considering an apprenticeship or preparing to enter the world of work, our aim is to help every young person understand the opportunities available to them and feel confident about the choices they make.

Our work would not be possible without the incredible schools and partners we work alongside. By building strong relationships with careers leaders, school staff and students, we can tailor our support to meet the needs of each setting and help young people make meaningful progress towards their future goals.

We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built and the difference we’re able to make together. Being shortlisted for this award is an opportunity to celebrate not only the hard work of our team, but also the schools that trust us to support their students’ futures.

Paula Thompson, Chief Operating Officer – Progress Education (Future Pathways), commented:

“It’s an absolute honour to be shortlisted alongside some incredible career providers! I am very privileged to work with a wonderful team of talented careers advisers and I’m really pleased that this is an opportunity to celebrate the amazing work they do. As well as an opportunity for us, as a sector, to shine a light on the hidden heroes that work tirelessly, day in, day out, delivering amazing careers advice and guidance to young people. I’m looking forward to coming together with colleagues from across the sector at the conference and, of course, celebrating everyone’s achievements at the awards ceremony!”

With plenty more to look forward to this academic year, we’re especially excited for the 2nd of December, when some of the Progress Careers team will be heading to the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham to celebrate the awards in style.

We’re incredibly proud of the whole team and grateful to everyone who plays a part in the work we do. Congratulations to all the other organisations shortlisted for this year’s awards. We’re looking forward to celebrating alongside you!

Wish us luck!
