FTE £27,000 (3 day role pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to the join expanding Progress Careers Team as Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate should be able to support the smooth and efficient running of contracts, the effective overview of central records and reporting and to develop strong communications with all key stakeholders.

To provide professional career guidance services, including personal guidance interviews, to improve young people’s skills, knowledge, and understanding of career planning and management.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, particularly in English and Maths.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in an administrative support role.
    • Experience in managing databases, filing systems, and handling HR-related tasks such as safer recruitment and onboarding.
    • Experience working with Microsoft Teams, Office Suite, and other relevant software.
    • Strong background in managing communications with key stakeholders and customers.
    • Familiarity with maintaining records, producing reports, and managing compliance tasks.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to manage multiple administrative tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in handling records, filing systems, reports, and proofreading documents.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Tech-Savvy: Competent in using digital tools such as Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel) and online HR systems.
  • Data Management: Capable of keeping various databases updated (Single Central Register, Qualifications Database, etc.) and producing insightful reports.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to take initiative and solve day-to-day issues efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working as part of a remote team while supporting colleagues from different departments, including managing directors and operational managers.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility in managing evolving responsibilities in a dynamic environmen
